CNC commences new service between Japan and Indonesia

CNC will be launching the new weekly Japan Indonesia (JPI) service on 1 June to offer direct access to Indonesia from five main Japanese ports in Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Nagoya and Kobe.

“By opening a direct route to Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia’s two largest seaports, JPI provides enhanced coverage and connectivity to the growing demand for reliable freight transportation between Japan and Indonesia,” said CNC in a statement.

The JPI service boasts faster transit times and increased reliability compared to transshipment options, ensuring shipments reach their Indonesian destinations promptly, according to CMA CGM-owned intra-Asia specialist.

The port rotation of the JPI service will be Tokyo (Japan) – Yokohama (Japan) – Shimizu (Japan) – Nagoya (Japan) – Kobe (Japan) – Surabaya (Indonesia) – Jakarta (Indonesia).
