Hapag-Lloyd has planned some improvement to its service between the North American West Coast and Australia/New Zealand.
WAS and WAN Service will be combined into a single string rotation to be called the “WSN” – covering the following ports:
Oakland-Seattle* – Vancouver* – Long Beach – Auckland –Sydney – Melbourne-Adelaide* – Sydney – Tauranga – Papeete* – Oakland.
The PNW market (Seattle and Vancouver) will continue to be served on a fortnightly basis, along Papeete (northbound). All Fiji cargo will be carried on a weekly feeder service via Tauranga, New Zealand.
Southbound Service Highlights:
- The only direct service from the North American West Coast to Australia and New Zealand
- Weekly fixed day service
- Trans-Tasman trade coverage between Australia and New Zealand, in addition to other services
- Direct service from Long Beach to Adelaide on a fortnightly basis
Northbound Service Highlights:
- Fast, direct weekly service to Oakland and Long Beach for dry and reefer markets
- Fortnightly direct calls at Adelaide*, Papeete, Vancouver and Seattle
- Direct Oceania calls at Adelaide*, Sydney, Melbourne and Tauranga, with relay and intermodal options for all major origin/destinations
