Compass Forwarding announces new facility in Chicago

Compass Forwarding, a full-service international transportation and logistics company, has built an office and warehouse in Chicago, expanding its presence in one of the US fastest-growing logistics regions.

The customer service centre and1,560 m² warehouse are in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, just minutes from O’Hare International Airport and train hubs in Chicago.

In addition, the customer service centre in Chicago will handle air, land, and marine logistics for the Midwest and Great Lakes areas. Compass’ continuous expansion in one of the fastest-growing logistics sectors in the United States will be driven by the local team.

“We’re excited to launch the newest Compass office in Chicago,” noted Richard J. Shelala, Compass’ director.

The region is home to the world’s fourth busiest airport as well as a significant rail hub that connects America’s massive manufacturing base in the Midwest to coastal seaports.

“The addition of our Chicago team provides us with an opportunity to better assist markets in the Midwest. Our proximity to O’Hare allows us to provide our airfreight and aerospace clients with enhanced services at a major US hub,” added Shelala.
