CONCOR and RZD Logistics sign co-operation deal

RZD Logistics JSC, the largest multimodal logistics operator in the CIS and Baltic countries, and the Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), the largest container rail operator in India, have signed an agreement that will see the Indian company provide its container fleet and equipment for organising and developing transportation on the North-South international transport corridor.

Dmitry Murev, CEO of RZD Logistics, and Sanjay Swarup, Director (International Marketing and Operations) of CONCOR, signed the corresponding document at a ceremony in the New Delhi.

In addition to providing containers for use at the North-South international transport corridor, CONCOR will organise local logistics services in India, as well as provide sea freight. RZD Logistics, in turn, will be responsible for organising freight handling at the multimodal transfer points and container transportation by rail.

“We have reached an agreement with the Indian side on a number of issues, including the use of CONCOR equipment, which will undoubtedly accelerate our joint work on organising container transportation at the North-South international transport corridor”, commented Dmitry Murev.
