Conqueror upgrades its transportation management software

Conqueror Freight Network has reached a partnership agreement with freight consolidator, Shipco, which enables members to directly access LCL (less than container load) rates in over thirty countries across the world.

This move comes after almost three years that Conqueror, an exclusive network of freight forwarders in each key air and seaports worldwide, has worked on in the technical development of its transportation management software (TMS) FreightViewer.

“This software enables our agents to quote in a very easy and accurate way, either using the personalised website we offer for each member, or creating PDF documents to be sent to their clients,” a Conqueror representative told Container News.

Including this new feature in FreightViewer, software developed by the Conqueror team, which is exclusive to its members, is in line with Conqueror’s commitment to a digital strategy that provides end-to-end logistics solutions and enables members to be on a par with main competitors, according to an announcement.

The new tool is an essential step, according to a Conqueror spokesman, who added that “it enables the network’s agents using FreightViewer to calculate the rate from the carrier plus the profit margin altogether in a document in only seconds, without wasting the time  requesting the rate from the carrier and waiting for that reply.”

Being able to manage freight rates from external providers in FreightViewer, puts together the valuable information supplied by carriers with all the functionalities integrated in FreightViewer, achieving, in this way, the ability to manage freight on a single platform.

In addition, being able to access LCL rates directly through FreightViewer, calculating the profit margin and creating an accurate quotation for the customer, in just seconds, significantly improves customer service and efficiency.

This advantage, inside a competitive market in which instancy has become essential, could mean- together with other factors- the difference between having the shipment or not.

“Speed in quoting is essential in a market where the difference between one quote or the other has become minimum. This means that, in some cases, who quotes the faster will have the shipment. This is one of the reasons why it’s so important to develop tools such as FreightViewer,” explains Morten Bach, the global chief commercial officer at Shipco Transport.

The main idea behind FreightViewer is to allow companies to combine the expertise of well established freight forwarders with the opportunities offered by digital tools, obtaining, as a result, an increasing efficiency and optimisation of resources.

As FreightViewer has been developed inside a logistics network with worldwide coverage, the potential of the platform is multiplied, enabling small-medium sized companies to become global and digital.

“The ability to manage global freight forwarding operations from a single platform will enable our members to reduce costs, increase operational efficiency and focus on improving customer experience,” said Antonio Torres, the president and founder of Coqnueror Freight Network.

This project is one of the various initiatives programmed from the FreightViewer Department to speed up the digital capability of the software, offering members an exclusive and free software to cope with the digital transformation in the logistics sector.
