COSCO launches maiden voyage of Transpacific service

On 24 June, COSCO’s SEA3 route successfully embarked on its maiden voyage with the Xin Fei Zhou departing from the port of Yantian in China.

The ship carried 7,400 TEU of home appliances and e-commerce goods bound for the port of Long Beach in the United States.

Four days later, the Hong Kong-flagged container vessel OOCL London set sail from Xiamen to Long Beach, marking the commencement of the service in the Chinese port.

The SEA3 service is operated by six vessels, which call at Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Xiamen (China), Yantian (China), and Long Beach (US).

“The ‘dual-route’ setup with SEA routes ensures fast, efficient service for our clients,” pointed out COSCO in a statement.
