COSCO launches new freight train services

On 28 June, 10 containers of Vietnamese transit goods were loaded onto a COSCO SHIPPING Logistics freight train crossing the New Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor from Qinzhou Port in Chengdu, China.

The above marks the start of an international freight train by the Chinese transportation giant οn the New Western Land- sea Trade Corridor and the creation of a new transit logistics service tailored for customers.

The consignment of goods departed from Haiphong port in Vietnam. After passing through Qinzhou Port of Beibu Gulf, it was heading to Chengdu Chengdu by the new Western Land-sea Trade Corridor freight train.

Then, the batch of goods was loaded onto the “Chengdu-Europe” Express Train and transported to Europe.

COSCO noted that the new logistics channel expands the transportation activities through the Western Land-Sea Trade Corridor from the current simple domestic import and export business to the international transit business.
