COSCO Shipping Ports achieves slight container growth in March

COSCO Shipping Ports reported that its total throughput in March 2023 increased by 0.6% year-on-year with the trend turning positive and showing a general recovery.

The Chine port operator said that the ports in the regions of the Bohai Rim, the Southwest Coast and the overseas recorded positive growth in March, compared with the same month last year.

However, in the first three months of 2023, COSCO Shipping Ports recorded a 4% year-on-year decline in total container volumes. In this period, the overseas portfolio reported a decline of 1.5%, while the China portfolio saw a decline of 5.1%.
