COSCO SHIPPING Ports boosts revenue and profit in 2022 first half

COSCO SHIPPING Ports (CSP) has reported strong financial results in the first half of 2022, while the port/terminal operator’s container volumes slightly increased in the same period.

From January to June 2022, CSP raised its revenue and gross profit by 24.7% and 33.3% year-on-year (YoY), reaching US$704.6 million and US$197.7 million respectively.

During the same period, profit attributable to equity holders of the company increased by 0.8% YoY to US$177 million.

COSCO’s port operator reported a total throughput of 63.2 million TEU in the first six months of the year, representing a 0.8% increase YoY, while the company’s first half total equity throughput was 20.5 million TEU.
