CTSP’s half-year container throughput rises

In the first half of 2018, Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP, part of UCL Holding) handled 374,500 TEUs, which is 17.4% more than in the same period of 2017.

Handling of imports at the facility increased by 27.8% year-on-year and totaled 182,400 TEUs and exports by 9% to 192,000 TEUs. Imports and exports accounted for 49% and 51% of the terminal’s total throughput, accordingly.

In the reporting period, the number of calls was 297 with an average shipload of 1,200 TEU.

Rail container traffic accounted for 25% of the CTSP’s total half-year volume.

The terminal’s share in the market of Saint-Petersburg and Ust-Luga ports remained unchanged, at 32%.
