On a global basis VLSFO fell by US$5/tonne and MGO by US$4.24/tonne, but regionally South America saw an increase in both the blended low sulphur fuel and the MGO of US$1.50. Africa and Middle East was the region to mark the largest drop both in VLSFO and MGO, a US$16.25 and a US$9, respectively.
By Comparison the largest regional fall for 380 HFO was US$6.33/tonne for Asia & Oceania and the overall, globally, was decline US$2.83. South America was the only region to record a gain for 380 HFO a comparatively modest US$1.50.
