DP World Jeddah has launched CARGOES TOS+ Operations and Planning System (OPS) module to enhance operations in Saudi Arabian terminals through automation.
The OPS is a flexible planning platform for terminal operations, packaging a range of features that makes planning staff define their own productivity goals and rules.
It also combines a frontend feature that, according to a statement, offers customers an efficient management and planning experience to optimise terminal assets.
CARGOES TOS+ OPS is a DP World-developed technology improving and optimising the overall operations’ performance.
“Its implementation and integration capabilities will pave the way for DP World Jeddah to continue the automation journey as it provides a robust integration environment for the equipment automation program and the Real-Time Location System (RTLS) implementations, amongst other smart trade digital transformation projects we have in the pipeline, said Mohammad AlShaikh, CEO of DP World Jeddah and Country Head of Saudi Arabia.
The launch of the cloud-based solution in Jeddah also includes the N4 interface which is a bridge between the system and users, making it the first terminal in DP World to deploy the TOS+ OPS with the N4 backend.
Over time, this initiative is expected to increase port efficiency for cargo owners driving their goods through DP World Jeddah, meaning containers move faster from liner to gate and beyond to retailers and consumers.
