DP World Southampton renews security contract with Mitie

DP World Southampton has renewed its contract with Mitie, a facilities management and professional services company, for two additional years.

By this contract extension, Mitie will continue to provide security services for DP World at the UK’s deep-sea container terminal in full compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility security code (ISPS), and the Maritime Security Division (MSD) of the Department of Transport.

According to Mitie, during the existing contract, the company’s proactive and responsive site operations have continued to identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and implement positive changes to enhance services across the facility.

Jason Towse, managing director of Business Services at Mitie, commented, “As the leading service provider in this sector, we’re delighted to continue working with DP World and the extension of this contract is testament to the strong partnership that we have built together over the last 11 years.”
