ESL boosts Far East – East Africa network with two new services

Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has unveiled two new products, the Fahari (FHX) and Fanaka (FNX) services, as part of an evolution from its previous Far East Africa Express (FAX).

The new services are designed to provide connections between Chinese markets and East Africa.

The FHX and FNX service port rotations will be as follows:

FHX service route: Qingdao – China, Shanghai – China, Ningbo – China, Nansha – China, Port Klang – Malaysia, Mombasa – Kenya, Port Klang – Malaysia, Qingdao – China

FNX service route: Qingdao – China, Shanghai – China, Ningbo – China, Nansha – China, Shekou – China, Port Klang – Malaysia, Dar es Salaam – Tanzania, Port Klang – Malaysia, Qingdao – China

The FNX service is scheduled to begin on 20 October, followed by the FHX service on 21 October, both departing from the port of Qingdao.

The Fahari (FHX) service will exclusively serve Kenya’s port of Mombasa as its East African destination, while the Fanaka (FNX) service will focus on Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

The names Fahari (meaning Pride or Splendor in Swahili) and Fanaka (meaning Prosperity or Success in Swahili) were chosen to reflect the liner’s commitment to the region.
