Evergreen enhances fleet monitoring with Carrier Transicold’s technology

As one of the world’s leading shipping lines, Evergreen Marine Corp. is enhancing its operations by equipping 7,000 of its 40-foot high cube refrigerated containers with Carrier Transicold’s Lynx™ Fleet solution.

Carrier Transicold, a division of Carrier Global Corporation and a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, provides this advanced technology.

Lynx Fleet allows for remote monitoring of connected refrigeration systems worldwide, delivering critical information through a centralized data stream. This enhances visibility for shipping lines, fleet owners, service technicians, and ship crews regarding the transported cargo.

“Lynx Fleet offers key features that ensure the cargo reaches its destination safely with notifications and alarms managed by exception. This means the system can alert fleet managers of critical alarms, giving them a global perspective and allowing them to analyze and act accordingly with timely data-driven decision making,” stated Leow Eng Meng, Container Sales, Asia-Pacific, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold.

The latest version of Lynx Fleet includes features such as Reefer Health, which uses Carrier’s proprietary technology to monitor near-live reefer unit performance and offers up to a 72-hour forecast. This provides detailed visibility of individual containers’ location, movement, and temperature.

In addition, fleet managers can download diagnostic information, gaining insights into the health of their reefers by identifying anomalies, possible causes, and potential solutions.

Furthermore, Lynx Fleet offers API feeds for communication with third-party platforms and user interfaces.

Beyond providing innovative digital solutions, Carrier Transicold offers comprehensive service training to its customers. This includes Lynx Fleet training updates, refrigeration unit operation programs, and other specialized training.
