FESCO’s Commercial Port of Vladivostok proceeds with digital projects

FESCO Transportation Group, NtechLab, a company in the field of computer vision and a technology partner of Rostec State Corporation and BINOM, the official strategic partner of FESCO, are starting to implement the Smart and Safe Port project in Public joint-stock company “Commercial Port of Vladivostok”.

The corresponding trilateral agreement of intent was signed by officials of the three companies.

NtechLab will offer for implementation FindFace Multi – its latest platform for biometric identification and multi-object video analytics with features for recognising faces, silhouettes of people and cars.

BINOM will be responsible for the modernisation of Information Technology (IT)and engineering infrastructure necessary for the implementation of the NtechLab platform and providing video monitoring within the territory of Commercial Port of Vladivostok.

As a result of these technological solutions, a unified system of video analytics, monitoring of labor and transport safety with a common biometric database will be created in CPV. The technology will also provide remote access and the ability to monitor operational processes in port on a real-time basis, according to an announcement.

Meanwhile, CPV, which is part of FESCO, has connected to the Colins system (Container logistics information service), with the help of which the tracking of containers location in real time is possible.

Within the project, FESCO specialists have developed rules for transmitting data regarding the location of containers from the information system of the Commercial Port of Vladivostok to the Colins system.

As a result, FESCO customers will be able to get up-to-date information about the location of containers dispatched from most ports of Japan to CPV and back, as well as learn about the main manipulations along the entire route, according to a statement.
