Fishing vessel sinks after collision with Vietnamese feeder; two crew members missing

The 1,060TEU feeder, Green Pacific has collided with a fishing vessel, named TTH 92206TS, on 14 August, approximately 30 nautical miles northeast of Con Co island, in the Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam, according to Maritime Bulletin.

The fishing vessel has sunk, according to the report, while two of its nine crew members are missing and another six are injured.

Green Pacific returned to the site of the accident and rescued seven fishermen, according to the Maritime Bulletin report.

The Gemadept’s 2008-built container ship was diverted to Cua Viet port in Vietnam to disembark rescued fishermen and then resumed its voyage.

Green Pacific is currently at the Quy Nhon Port in Vietnam, according to the ship tracking provider, Marine Traffic.
