FM Logistic opens its first Control Tower in India

FM Logistic, a French contract logistics provider, launched its first Control Tower (CT) facility on 20 June in Pune, India.

The Control Tower is part of FM Logistic’s strategy to improve its 4PL and LLP offerings. Jean-Christophe Machet, CEO of FM Logistic, Sebastien Maquet, CFO of FM Logistic, Stéphane Descarpentries, managing director, Asia and Strategic Projects, and Ajit Jangle, managing director, FM Logistic India attended the event.

The control tower, backed by a team of professionals, will provide a variety of transport services ranging from order management, network design, transport simulation, and vehicle management to track-and-trace services.

In addition, the control tower will provide process automation to eliminate repeated efforts and maximise resource utilisation.

The CT Integrated Logistics Platform supports EDI / API connectivity with the customer’s ERP, as well as track & trace systems, to provide smooth data transfer and 100% visibility, according to a statement, while real-time performance reporting through Business Intelligence dashboards is also available.

Furthermore, predictive analysis is an important aspect of the CT system that supports decision-making in the case of an emergency.
