GEODIS takes over US logistics firm

Geodis has announced the acquisition of US-based Need it Now Delivers aiming to expand its presence in the United States in the areas of contract logistics and final mile delivery.

“The completion of the Need It Now Delivers acquisition will accelerate our continued growth in the US, which has become an essential market for GEODIS, as we remain committed to building a fully integrated network of transport and logistics hubs globally,” commented Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS.

GEODIS fleet operators will now have access to expanded transportation and warehousing management capabilities in the US, while Need It Now Delivers customers will have the opportunity to enhance their global supply chains with new access to GEODIS’ international freight and contract logistics networks for an integrated solution, according to a statement.

Earlier this month, PEKAES in Poland was renamed GEODIS after being acquired at the beginning of last year.

GEODIS believes the unified visual identity will bring clarity to customers in Poland and worldwide.

Marie-Christine Lombard noted, “Our priority is to help our customers grow their businesses by providing simple, efficient, and effective solutions. I am impressed with the enthusiasm with which employees are committed to strengthening the GEODIS brand in the Polish market.”
