Hapag-Lloyd has announced an increase in the ocean tariff rate for all cargoes in 20’ and 40’, including High Cube, containers on the Eastbound trade from North Europe to Far East, including Japan.
Valid for sailings commencing on 1 May 2020 onwards and until further notice, Hapag-Lloyd’s ocean tariff rates from North Europe to Far East will be:
(*) The ocean tariff rates include the basic freight, the terminal handling/security related charges at origin and currency adjustment factor
The German carrier will also apply a general rate adjustment (GRA) in the eastbound trade from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to all US and Canada:
Unless otherwise specified in a particular service contract or tariff rate item, this GRA will be applied to freight of all kinds (FAK) short term rates with rate validity less than 90 days within the scope hereunder.
Effective Date: 1 May 2020 (date of cargo receipt at origin)
Scope: Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to all US and Canada.
General Rate Adjustment (GRA) will be applicable to all dry, reefers, and special containers.
- US$480 increase per all 20′ container types
- US$600 increase per all 40′ container types
Indian Subcontinent Origin countries: India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Middle East Origin countries: UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan.
