Hapag-Lloyd applies GRI on Pakistan–Middle East trade lanes

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) from Pakistan to the Arabian Gulf, Saudi Arabia (Eastern and Western Provinces), Jordan and Yemen, and vice versa.

The rate increase will be implemented on all cargo moving to and from Karachi Port, Pakistan, effective 20 May until further notice. The GRI will apply to all container types, including 20′ and 40′ dry containers, refrigerated (reefer) units, and special equipment.



The details for the GRI are listed below:

From Pakistan to the Arabian Gulf, Saudi Arabia (Eastern and Western Provinces), Jordan and Yemen

  • 20′ Dry Container: US$300
  • 40′ Dry Container: US$300

From the Arabian Gulf, Saudi Arabia (Eastern and Western Provinces), Jordan and Yemen to Pakistan

  • 20′ Dry Container: US$300
  • 40′ Dry Container: US$300
