Hapag-Lloyd applies PSS in Senegal, Tanzania and DR Congo

Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) from all origins into the ports of Dakar in Senegal, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Matadi in Democratic Republic of Congo.

The surcharge will be in effect for all cargo arriving at the three ports from 22 November, excluding containers coming from North and Latin America, for which the surcharge will be applicable from 8 December.

The PSS at the port of Dakar in Senegal:

  • 20′ Dry Container: US$150 / €140
  • 40′ Dry Container: US$300 / €280
  • 40′ High Cube Container: US$300 / €280

The PSS at the port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania:

  • 20′ Dry Container: US$150
  • 40′ Dry Container: US$300
  • 40′ High Cube Container: US$300

The PSS at the port of Matadi in DR Congo:

  • 20′ Dry Container: US$200 / €190
  • 40′ Dry Container: US$400 / €380
  • 40′ High Cube Container: US$400 / €380
  • 20’ Reefer Container: US$200 / €190
  • 40’ Reefer Container: US$400 / €380
