Hapag-Lloyd crew member tests positive for Covid-19

A member of the crew of the container vessel Prague Expressl, operated by Hapag-Lloyd on its Transpacific Eastcoast Loop 3 (EC3) service, has tested positive for Covid-19, and this has prevented the vessel from entering Cartgena port, Columbia.

[s2If is_user_logged_in()]The vessel is now under quarantine awaiting further instructions from the Columbian authorities, according to the carrier, which is expecting another series of Covid-19 tests for the crew. Prague Express was on its westbound voyage at the time of the incident.

“If results of the subsequent round of testing are negative for all aboard, the vessel will proceed with cargo operations as planned- though with schedule adjustments. Should any of the results prove positive the quarantine time will be extended by at least another week while another round of tests will be conducted,” said a Hapag-Lloyd announcement.

The company said it will make further announcements when the next round of tests are completed.[/s2If]
