Hapag-Lloyd says that due to ongoing congestion, current waiting times for berth at the Tanzania International Container Terminal in Dar-es-Salaam are between 16 to 19 days and these operational delays heavily affect its EAS2 service.
Hapag-Lloyd adds that it is continuously evaluating the situation and taking schedule integrity measures in order to face the challenge an minimise the impact on its customers.
“We continue to work on long term solutions to provide more stability and service reliability for you to manage your supply chains through Dar-es-Saalam,” a Hapag-Lloyd statement says.
