Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from Asia and Oceania to the port of Mombasa in Kenya.
This surcharge will be applicable for all cargo loaded from 10 May until further notice.
The German ocean carrier will introduce a surcharge of US$400 per TEU for all container types.
Asia and Oceania region includes Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Micronesia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, French Polynesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna Island.
