HL revises Italian detention charges and adds ship to S. America service

In a revision of its US East Coast to South America service German carrier Hapag-Lloyd will add a vessel, Northern Majestic, to the service rotation, while market conditions require the line to revise its import detention tariffs for all inbound cargo to Italy.

The service is called the SEC and operates on a weekly rotation to and from ports in North America, the 6,750TEU vessel will begin operations on 25 August from Rio Grande in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the liner company has also revised its import detention tariff for speacial containers with effect from 1 September. The revised charges can be seen in the table below:
