The South Korean carrier HMM has announced the launch of a new service between Far East Asia and Latin America, connecting three continents.
The new Far East-India-Latin America service (FIL), which will be operated solely by HMM, was created to deliver more comprehensive solutions, according to the eighth-largest liner operator.
The first sailing of the FIL service will start from Busan on 7 December with the round trip planned to be completed in 84 days.
The port rotation will be Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Kattupalli, Durban, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Navegantes, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Busan. (return)
“With the introduction of the FIL service, we are expected to provide our customers with a more efficient and reliable service” stated an HMM official who added that the Seoul-based shipping company aims to continue to expand its presence in Latin America trade.
