HMM relocates and expands Global Service Center in Mumbai

HMM has successfully operated two Global Documentation Centers (GDCs), with one located in Chengdu, China, covering the China area, and the other in Mumbai, India, serving non-China areas.

To better meet the diverse needs of our customers, HMM is pleased to announce that starting in June 2024, the GDC in Mumbai will be transformed into the Global Service Center (GSC).

The newly established GSC will expand its scope beyond documentation to include responsibilities such as Accounts Payable (AP), Long Idling, Documentation, and Customer Service process migration.

This expansion necessitates an increase in staff, and consequently, HMM GSC will be relocating to the “Rupa Renaissance” building in Navi Mumbai from June 1st. This new location will provide additional space and upgraded technology, enabling us to better support our current and future business needs.

To commemorate the opening of the GSC at its new office, senior leaders from HMM headquarters in Seoul and regional headquarters in Dubai recently visited Mumbai. Mr. James Park, head of the Container Business Planning office, addressed the staff during this visit. He highlighted HMM’s rapid growth and the resultant increased demand for support functions, expressing confidence in the new GSC team’s ability to tackle global challenges effectively.

HMM looks forward to a successful journey at the new location.
