HMM’s helm changes hands

South Korea’s major container carrier HMM has named Choi Won-hyuk as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The 65-year-old shipping veteran was selected as the company’s new head following a series of interviews with multiple candidates.

Choi Won-hyuk previously served as CEO of South Korean logistics company LX Pantos and will succeed Kim Kyung-bae, who led HMM for three years.
