Idwal introduces condition improvement programme

Idwal, an inspection, technology and data company, has introduced Idwal ID, a comprehensive programme to improve conditions.

This digital platform offers defect management, fleet analytics, and benchmarking by conducting thorough ship inspections and generating dynamic reports based on detailed data.

“Idwal ID brings together our market-leading inspections, maritime experience and digital technology to create a secure, one-stop-shop repository for all inspection information, which can be quickly and easily accessed, analysed, shared and updated. This empowers users to make confident and informed decisions with information that provides a clear business case for necessary change, thereby optimising budget spend and operational efficiency,” stated Nick Owens, CEO at Idwal.

Furthermore, Idwal ID seamlessly integrates all elements of the inspection and condition monitoring process, facilitating the analysis of data to gain insights into overall fleet integrity and specific issues at a detailed level. It centralizes all relevant inspection information, streamlining continuous condition improvement efforts.

Since 2019, Idwal has inspected 15% of the global shipping fleet, conducting over 10,000 unique inspections in 100 countries. This resulted in an average of 15 inspection reports delivered every working day last year.

According to a statement, leveraging the 10 million data points collected over the past four years, Idwal ID offers grade analytics, benchmarking assets, vessels, and fleets against global averages. The platform grants access to substantial volumes of data for benchmarking purposes while ensuring the confidentiality of proprietary information.
