Inchcape Shipping Services appoints new regional CEO

Harun Duzgoren has been appointed regional chief executive officer for the Americas by Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a global leader in port agency and marine services, beginning 1 September 2023.

Harun brings 23 years of managerial experience in the global maritime services business to his new post, as well as a breadth of cross-functional understanding.

Prior to joining ISS, he was the chief commercial officer of Subsea Global Solutions, a private equity-backed worldwide underwater services corporation based in Miami. Harun had a crucial role in developing the company’s commercial strategy, coordinating M&A activities, and reporting directly to the Board and Group CEO during his tenure.

Harun has worked on significant projects in key worldwide markets such as North America, the United Kingdom, Greece, Monaco, Turkey, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Hong Kong, and Singapore. His significant experience in the commercial and cruise shipping industries includes technical ship management, crewing, commercial and technical services, and offshore marine operations, all of which complement the diverse range of services offered by ISS across the world.

In addition, Harun Duzgoren has a nautical degree from Istanbul Technical University’s Maritime Faculty, an MSc in Marine Management from Southampton Solent University in the United Kingdom, and an Executive MBA from Koc University in Istanbul. He belongs to the International Propeller Club, a respected marine organisation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Harun Duzgoren as the Regional CEO for the Americas at Inchcape Shipping Services,” stated Philippe Maezelle, CEO at ISS.
