Increased box traffic at Dunkirk port in 2022

At Dunkirk port, the containerised traffic recorded growth for the 10th year in a row, reaching 745,000 TEUs in 2022, translating to an increase of 14% compared with the previous year.

In fact, the French port has achieved the largest growth (+62%) over the last two years in the North European range.

Additionally, in the last year Dunkirk port reported 49 MT, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.5%. In particular, liquid bulk was up by 60%, at 13.9 MT, solid bulk was down 18% at 16.2 MT and miscellaneous goods were trending downwards, at 18.9 MT (-5%).

Furthermore, in the ro-ro sector, the French port marked an 18% decrease falling to 468,000 accompanied and unaccompanied units.
