Jacksonville attorney Tom Slater appointed to JAXPORT’s Board of Directors

Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan has appointed attorney Tom Slater to JAXPORT’s Board of Directors.

The Jacksonville City Council unanimously approved Slater’s appointment on November 28.

Tom Slater is an attorney with the law firm of Pajcic & Pajcic, with practice areas that include maritime, trucking and aviation law. He is a board-certified trial attorney licensed in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia.

Slater currently serves on the PACE Center for Girls board and has served as president of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, the Jacksonville Justice Association, the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center, and on numerous committees of the Florida Bar.

“I have known Tom for 25 years. He is a fantastic attorney and an even better person,” said JAXPORT Chair Daniel Bean, an attorney and partner at ABL Law, P.A. “His knowledge and expertise in law makes him a wonderful addition to our Board. We look forward to working with him as we continue to grow JAXPORT and its ability to provide jobs and supply chain security for our region and state.”
