Jettainer, an outsourced Unit Load Device (ULD) management firm, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with PACTL West, the ground handler for Shanghai Pudong International Airport Public Cargo Terminal Co. Ltd West.
This announcement was made by the two firms during the Southeast Asia Transport Logistics conference. Jettainer will establish a new hub for its lease&fly ULD leasing service at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) as part of the cooperation. PACTL West will be in charge of transporting and storing the ULDs.
Jettainer’s lease&fly service provides ULDs for both short-term and long-term purposes, accommodating ad-hoc flight operations, charters, seasonal peaks, and the ramp-up of new enterprises or expansion plans.
Also, Jettainer introduces the fourth lease&fly hub after Frankfurt, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong with its new location at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, China’s second-biggest airport. Customers will gain immediately from fast access to PMC pallets, one of the most extensively used ULD kinds.
The portfolio of regular and unique containers and pallets will be steadily expanded to satisfy the needs of future customers. As the strategic collaboration partner, PACTL West will give its substantial ground-handling knowledge to ensure the new hub’s successful functioning. Jettainer’s Hong Kong office handles customer service and all sales activities for needs in the region.
