Japanese carrier K Line, a 31% shareholder in Ocean Network Express, will open a newly founded decarbonisation department which it says will focus on carbon neutral and renewable energy projects.
[s2If is_user_logged_in()]The new department will begin operations on 1 April this year as the company looks to meet its climate change obligations for reducing emissions. K Line said its new decarbonisation department will focus on offshore wind, carbon capture utilisation and storage developments, energy transition projects including LNG value chain related projects and carbon trading schemes.
K Line noted it is “proactively responding” to the requirements to meet climate change targets and it will “establish a ‘Carbon Neutral Promotion Group’ and facilitate business development for net-zero CO2 emissions along with related parties and companies of the K Line group.”
