Kalmar, Holmen Iggesund extend cooperation agreement for three years

A three-year collaboration deal that was first signed in 2019 between Holmen Iggesund, a member of the Holmen Group, and Kalmar has been extended.

The extension will commence in the second quarter of 2023 and will last a further three years with an optional 12-month extension.

“Both parties in this agreement are striving to reduce the use of fossil fuels as well as the CO2 footprint,” stated Tomas Nilsson, site manager of Iggesund Mill.

Iggesund Mill is a cutting-edge fully integrated pulp and paperboard mill, located on Sweden’s east coast. According to the tailored partnership agreement, Kalmar takes full ownership of the customer’s log-handling activities and ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and qualified personnel.

“Moving forward, as part of this agreement extension we are fully committed to supporting Holmen Iggesund with their transition towards more sustainable operations,” said Niklas Henriksson, regional service manager at Kalmar Sweden.
