Kalmar to deliver 18 terminal tractors to TT-Line in Australia

Kalmar has signed an agreement with AJL Group Pty (AJL), an Australian heavy-equipment distributor, to deliver 18 heavy terminal tractors to TT-Line Company Pty (TT-Line).

The order also included a 12-month subscription to the Kalmar Insight performance management platform. The machines will be delivered in batches throughout the first and second quarters of 2024.

The Spirit of Tasmania ferry service is operated by TT-Line between Geelong on the Australian mainland and Devonport on Tasmania’s North West coast.

With over 600 employees and over 430,000 passengers transported annually, Spirit of Tasmania is widely recognised for its contribution to the Australian tourism industry as well as for fostering Australia’s economic development through the provision of a world-class passenger and freight service.

The machines sent to TT-Line will be equipped with low-emission Tier 5 engines and a specialised attachment mechanism for use with Novatech Trestles, which allow for the rapid, safe, and secure lashing of semi-trailers to vessel decks.
