Kalmar to provide Uwe Kleinwort GmbH with five new reachstackers

Kalmar, the Finnish cargo handling equipment manufacturer and part of Cargotec, will supply the German vehicle provider Uwe Kleinwort GmbH with five Kalmar Gloria reachstackers with a lifting capacity of 45 tons.

Located in the Port of Hamburg in northern Germany, Uwe Kleinwort GmbH is nationally recognised with an extensive rental equipment fleet including Kalmar reachstackers, terminal tractors, forklift trucks and empty container handlers.

“Our fleet already includes approximately 150 Kalmar machines, and we have chosen to continue this relationship because of the high quality of the equipment, the excellent spare parts availability and the high-quality level of after-sales service,” commented Uwe Kleinwort, managing director of Uwe Kleinwort GmbH.

This latest order, which was booked in Cargotec’s Q1 2022 order intake, is planned to be delivered to Uwe Kleinwort in May 2022 to address growing rental demand, following a previous order of five Kalmar Gloria reachstackers placed in Q4 of 2021.

Björn Steffen, sales manager of Kalmar Germany, commented on this new agreement, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our cooperation with Uwe Kleinwort, a customer that we have built an excellent relationship with over three decades of collaboration.”
