Kenya new documentation regulation for imports

According to Notice of Kenya Port Authority and Kenya Revenue Authority, from 30th November 2018, for all cargos destined to Kenya through the Port of Mombasa and liable to local clearance shall be required to have the below details of the consignee in each Bill of Lading and the Manifest. In cases where the consignee is “to order”, the same contact details of notify party or a bank should be included.

 

1. The Consignee’s name

2. Mailing address (P.O.BOX NUMBER) as per Tax Personal Identification Number (PIN)

3. Email address

4. Mobile number
