Kramer Group and the Port of Rotterdam Authority signed a new connection agreement on 1 September, according to which Kramer’s new depot at 51 Malakastraat, Kramer Distripark Depot (KDD), will be linked to the Container Exchange Route (CER), a 17-kilometre closed transport route that connects several of the Maasvlakte’s terminals, depots, distribution centres, and the State Inspection Terminal.
Furthermore, the CER will soon be connected to all important Kramer Group terminals, including not just the KDD but also the Rotterdam Container Terminal (RCT) and Delta Container Services (DCS).
The Kramer Distripark Depot is scheduled to be connected to the CER by the end of the year.
Land-based and water-based containers can be transferred more efficiently internally by connecting to the CER, which is already linked to Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG), Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT), and the State Inspection Terminal.
