Evergreen’s giant container vessel, Ever Alot has received classification from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
It is the largest container ship in the world, with a capacity of just over 24,000 TEU.
“We are proud to support the design, construction and successful delivery of such a remarkable vessel through the challenges of the pandemic,” said John McDonald, ABS executive vice president and COO.
The vessel is the latest in a series of five being built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding in China to ABS class.
“As the leading class in container ships, we have a record of supporting industry firsts and this milestone is the latest we are proud to add to that list,” McDonald added.
ABS provides container ship-oriented support and solutions, from firefighting and lashing to decarbonisation and sustainable solutions.
