Leschaco takes over Peruvian freight forwarding firm

The global logistics service provider Leschaco will further expand its presence in America with the acquisition of Transantarctic SAC (TPL), a freight forwarding company based in Lima, Peru, which has been part of the Leschaco Group’s agent network for more than 10 years.

The future name of the company will be Leschaco Peru SAC, and the TPL staff will also move under the Leschaco umbrella.

“The acquisition of TPL and its qualified employees is an enrichment for our globally active group of companies,” commented Jörg Conrad, CEO of the Leschaco Group.

Founded in 1998, the Peruvian freight forwarder TPL specialises in air, sea and land transport, as well as tailor-made services in the field of project logistics.

Cecilia Batallanos will be the first managing director of Leschaco Peru SAC. She has more than 20 years of professional experience in leading positions in logistics, customs and international transportation in countries such as Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia.

With the new location in Peru, Leschaco is now represented in 23 countries, with services in the core business areas of sea and air freight, tank containers and contract logistics.
