MacGregor secures contract for 100T AHC crane

MacGregor, a subsidiary of Cargotec, has been awarded a contract to supply a 100-ton Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane for a Dive Support Vessel owned by Jana Marine Service Company.

The contract was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2024. The crane is set for delivery to the Guangzhou Salvage shipyard in the second quarter of 2026, with the vessel’s handover scheduled for later that year.

“Timely delivery, reliability and innovation are core capabilities for us and qualities that we also seek from suppliers,” mentioned Tang Renjian, Guangzhou Salvage Bureau Company.

“We look forward to working with MacGregor again on the successful completion of a highly significant project for our yard.”

MacGregor’s local sales team will collaborate closely with Guangzhou Salvage throughout the project to ensure smooth crane integration and optimal performance. The customer selected MacGregor based on a successful previous delivery of a similar crane, highlighting its lightweight design and high performance.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract,” commented Pasi Lehtonen, Senior Vice President, Offshore Solutions, MacGregor. “Our 100T AHC crane is a proven solution that offers superior performance and reliability. We are confident that it will meet the customer’s needs and exceed its expectations.”
