Maersk applies peak season surcharge from West Africa to Canada

Danish ocean carrier Maersk will implement a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from West Africa to Canada.

The following surcharge will be effective from 15 January 2025 until further notice.

Maersk has noted that the West Africa region includes Namibia, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde Island, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Congo, Dem. Rep. of, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo and Western Sahara.
