Maersk reviews Environmental Fuel Fee from March

Maersk will review the tariff for Environmental Fuel Fee (EFF) effective 1 March 2020 to cover the increase in the fuel-related costs associated to the use of the new fuel (VLSFO).

The EFF tariffs have been reviewed using the price development on the low sulfur fuel and looking into the trigger communicated previously (changes of more than 50 USD/TON, up or down, compared to the last time the tariffs were adjusted). In this specific case, the price difference between the two periods is is 83,65 USD/ton. The details on the period and reference ports used for the calculation can be found in the table below.

The EFF will be applicable to Maersk Spot and all contracts with validity up to three months, and the tariff values can be found in the tables on the following pages.
