Maersk has announced the revision of the Panama Canal Charge (PCC) for cargo transiting through the Panama Canal effective from 3 August 2023.
The Danish box line said the new tariff levels will be US$175 per 20’ container and US$305 per 40’ container (incl. high cube & 45’ boxes) for the following trade lanes:
- West Central Asia to/from Latin America
- Asia Pacific to/from Latin America
- Africa to/from Latin America
- Europe to/from Latin America
- North America to/from Latin America
- West Central Asia to/from US East Coast
- Asia Pacific to/from US East Coast
- Africa to/from US East Coast
- Europe to/from US West Coast
The new charges will take effect on 3 August 2023 and will be applicable for dry and reefer cargo, according to Maersk’s statement.
