Maersk will revise its demurrage and detention (DnD) offer for import Spot bookings in Sierra Leone effective from 6 February 2020.
“As from 6 February 2020, we will standardise the detention freetime as we did for the freight,” said Maersk.
“It means, therefore, that if you or your shipper book on Maersk Spot, all import shipments you will receive through that brand product will be subject to detention of 14 days for Maersk Spot displayed at the time of booking,” explains Maersk.
“This means that your Maersk Spot bookings will not enjoy the special conditions of any previous agreement (service contract) with our sales and local team,” added the Danish company.
Below is the tariff which will be applied after the freetime:
Detention: 20’ – US$25, 40’ – US$50
