Maersk, SCZONE and Siemens Energy discuss green hydrogen projects

Representatives of SCZONE, Maersk Egypt and Siemens discussed the identification of the green hydrogen industry and its complementary industries.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the framework of the feasibility studies prepared by the companies in preparation for the signing of the final contracts at the cop27 summit, for the implementation of the pilot phases of the projects.

“SCZONE provides full support to the companies that have signed memoranda of understanding for the settlement of green fuel, especially with regard to the technical support in the phase of feasibility studies, due to the special nature of green fuel projects related to the modernity of these projects, the necessary technology and the logistical nature of the sites in which they are located,” said Waleid Gamal Eldein, SCZONE chairman.

He added, “The technical studies stage always requires joint cooperation to reach the best results that enable our partners to reach the implementation of these promising projects according to the expected schedule.”

The discussions took place in the context of the cooperation and support that SCZONE provides to its partners in green fuel construction projects.

SCZONE has expressed its willingness to ensure the availability of the necessary environmental, legal and technical requirements in line with the highest international standards for green fuel localisation projects in its industrial zones.

“We are pleased with this fruitful collaboration with SCZONE and Siemens wishes to take into account a number of technical factors related to the project, which are aimed at maximising the use of the economic zone resources, facilities and incentives provided, in addition to the magnitude of the achievement that can be achieved through cooperation between the project stakeholders,” commented Eng. Layla El Hares, vice chairman and managing director of Siemens Energy in Egypt.
