The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced that Maersk has added Jeddah Islamic Port to the rotations of the AE12 and AE7 services.
The AE7 service port rotation is the following:
Ningbo-Zhoushan (China), Shanghai (China), Nansha (China), Yantian (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Tangier (Marroco), Hamburg (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Le Havre (France), Felixstowe (UK), London Gateway (UK), Salalah (Oman), Khalifa (Abu Dhabi), and Jebel Ali (Dubai).
This service will be operated by 12 container ships with a capacity of 18,000 TEUs each.
Additionally, the AE12 service will connect Jeddah with 13 global centres in Southern Europe, Africa, and East Asia with a fleet of 12 ships with a 15,000-TEU box capacity.
Mawani said the latest addition to the country’s global maritime network demonstrates its commitment to driving collaborations with strategic partners such as Maersk and Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT).
