Major and minor adjustments to Far East trade routes

Danish ocean carrier Maersk has added the port of Guangzhou (Nansha) to the schedule of its SH2 between China and Bangladesh, while it has also removed the Taiwanese ports of Kaohsiung and Keelung.

The revised port rotation of the service will now be Ningbo (China), Shanghai (China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Chittagong (Bangladesh), Mongla (Bangladesh), Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Guangzhou, Nansha (China) and back to Ningbo.

Additionally, at the lower stakes of Far East trade, Marsa Ocean Shipping will join the FEM1/FMS service of CStar Line, Global Feeder Shipping and United Global Lines at the end of February. Marsa Ocean Shipping is presumably replacing CU Lines, which joined the service in September but no longer appears to be offering this connection.

With the addition of Marsa Ocean’s 2,500 TEU boxship, the service will run at a weekly frequency with the following itinerary:

Qingdao (China) – Shanghai (China) – Guangzhou, Nansha (China) – Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Istanbul (Turkey) – Jeddah – Guangzhou, Nansha – Qingdao
